Our expectation is that people in the Vineyard don't "sign up" so they can sit in a chair on Sunday morning. They want to become all that God intended for their lives.

This involves both growing in our understanding of who God is and finding a place to serve God, each other and people beyond the four walls of our church experience.

We have listed training opportunities to help you grow as a Christian and serving opportunities presently available in our fellowship.

This list will grow as our congregation grows. We desire that everyone will come to know Jesus more deeply while discovering a place to serve with their unique talents and the gifts God gives them.


TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

  • How To Grow as a Christian

      This class is designed to bring everyone in our fellowship through key areas important to growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.

      We will look at why it is important to develop in our lives four habits: Time with God’s Word, Prayer, Tithing and Fellowship.

      The Scriptures are very clear that we will not grow if we do not participate in these very important aspects of the Christian life.
  • Discovering Your Ministry

      This class will help everyone understand the relationship between situational gifts (gifts that every Christian can flow in as a situation demands) and constituted gifts (gifts that help identify our unique role of service in the body of Christ).

      A spiritual gift analysis is part of this class.

      The goal of the study is both informational and practical. Beyond understanding more about the Gifts of the Spirit, we want each person to begin to see how God has called them for a purpose and then step out to fulfill his will for their lives by serving in the local church.
  • Ministry Team Training

      This class will help everyone understand the relationship between situational gifts (gifts that every Christian can flow in as a situation demands) and constituted gifts (gifts that help identify our unique role of service in the body of Christ).

      Ministry Team Training is an approach to Jesus ministry that helps people to say his words and do his works in a non-hyped, low key but potentially powerful way.

      Areas of training include:
      Physical Healing
      Emotional Healing
      Spiritual Healing
      The Prayer Model
      Leading Someone to Christ


  • Marriage on the Rock

      Marriage on the Rock is an 8 week class where participants meet for dessert, view a video and discuss the content together. The goal is to help couples better understand how to build their relationship around Jesus Christ and God's Biblical principles.

      Topics include:

      • Why no human being can meet your deepest needs-only God can.
      • The secret of a solid marriage.
      • The four foundational laws of marriage.
      • What the Bible says about the roles of husbands and wives.
      • How to understand and meet your spouces needs.
      • The five essential skills for maximum pleasure.

      Marriage on the Rock is a requirement for any man and woman desirous of being married by a pastor at Vineyard Community Church.

SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

  • Kid's Life
    • Nursery and Preschool

      We Love Little Kids!

      Our nursery and preschool class meets in an adjoining room at the Fire Company building where we hold our Sunday morning celebrations.

      Schedules are arranged so each two person team serves about once every other month.
    • KidsChurch

      We Love Kids!

      KidsChurch is church at their level. We believe when kids have fun they can more easily learn about God.

      KidsChurch is for children ages 4-11. They meet at 9:15am at the Children's World Learning Center which is right across the parking area from the Lionville Fire Company.

      Kids come for a breakfast snack then start in an exciting time of games, prizes, skits, Bible lessons, age focused small groups, worship and ministry. KidsChurch meets through out the Sunday worship celebration at the Fire Company.

      Kids church gives our members an opportunity to serve in ministry to the children of our congregation. You can be trained to be a team leader or to serve on a team. Teams are cycled and serve for a whole month three times a year.

        La Vina Mayaguez, Puerto Rico

        We want to provide opportunities for our members to participate in missions. Most of us are not called to full time mission service. The purpose of our missions focus is to help our congregation go on short term mission trips lasting about a week and are affordable and give a chance to serve others beyond our own fellowship.

        We are partnering with Pastor Marvin Suarez and his wife Cuchy of La Vina in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Our approach is to serve the leaders and the congregation of La Vina in the areas they feel would best help them. Usually a three or four day seminar is given combined with opportunities to reach out into the community as well as help La Vina with their property and building.

        A group of 14 people will go to Puerto Rico in February.
